How we grade

Four Cs.
One stone, turning.

01 / Cut

Cut is where the light comes from.

An excellent cut sends light back up through the table instead of leaking it out the bottom. That's the fire you see turning on the right. It's the one C we never compromise on.

  1. Excellent
  2. Very good
  3. Good
  4. Fair

02 / Colour

From warm to ice.

Graded D (colourless) down to Z. Watch the stone clear as the marker moves. Most of our engagement stones sit between D and H.

Grade K

03 / Clarity

What's inside counts.

Inclusions are nature's fingerprints. Scroll and they fade out, from I1 up to flawless. We show you every one under a 10x loupe before you buy.

  3. SI1
  4. VS2
  5. VS1
  6. VVS2

  8. IF
  9. FL

04 / Carat

Weight, not size.

One carat is 200 mg. Past the round numbers (0.90 vs 1.00) the price jumps, and that's often where the smart buying is.

Why the district matters

Nine of every ten diamonds on earth are cut and polished in India. Most of them pass through a few streets in Surat and Mumbai. We work from those streets, so you buy at the price the trade pays, and sell to someone who knows exactly what you're holding.

How we price a diamond

Selling a diamond

An offer,
not a haggle.

  1. 01

    Send the details

A photo of the stone and the certificate, if you have one. Two minutes on WhatsApp.

  2. 02

    We inspect it

At our desk, or by insured pickup. You watch it weighed, measured and graded.

  3. 03

    Written offer, valid 48 hours

Accept and it's paid by bank transfer the same day. Decline and it comes straight back, no fee.

Opens WhatsApp with your details filled in. Nothing is stored on this site.
